In the malaria-free Waterberg region, 35 km North of Vaalwater, this idyllic lodge will be your home away from home will be. We also specialize in rare and plains game breeding, which enables our guests a more personal experience with the animals.

The areas exist of open Savannah areas with scattered trees and anthills.

Here you will encounter African Buffalo, Roan Antelope, Sable or the majestic Kudu Bull. Many more species are found on the estate and the list is just too large to mention.

We are also pet friendly, with an enclosed area for your pets to have some fun in their own river camp!

Other activities

Spend some time at the river and rock pools fishing, or just soaking up the African sun. Here you will find many species of Kingfisher’s and other water birds. Game drives, bush trails and bird watching are some of the favorite activities for visiting guests. Nearby Big 5 encounters and viewing can be arranged as well as other sites of interest.

Accommodation

We offer both catered and self-catering options, depending on your choice, a daily cleaning service is included in your stay.
The luxury main lodge compromised over two en-suite double bedrooms on ground level and two larger en suite family rooms upstairs, each with a double bed and 2 single beds. More beds can be added. The private lodge can accommodate 12 overnight guests and up to 25 day visitors!
All rooms have air-conditioning and with private safes. A large living and entertainment area with fireplace, set under a double volume thatch roof is perfect for those cold winters evenings or to snuggle with a good book.
The kitchen is spacious, with all utensils and cutlery supplied. An undercover braai area as well as an open boma with gas braai and entertainment area overlooking the Springbuck will have you enchanted.

Included in rates: VAT, accommodation in private lodge, 4 en-suite rooms sleeping 12 or more, hunting vehicle, slaughtering, cooling, guides, PH, daily cleaning services, DSTV and wood. Loan rifle available at a fee.

NextHunt Review:

The NextHunt team visited Real African Hunt in January 2021. The lodge is spacious and able to accommodate up to 10 people.
The river is not far from the lodge, where you can enjoy a braai next to a pool in the river, with ample space to pitch a tent. This is a fenced off area of 5ha, where you may bring your dogs to camp with you. There are also tents on platforms with nearby ablution facilities where you can overnight.
Hunting is allowed throughout the year.
