The Badshoek Hunting Experience

Let this jewel of majestic mountains and breathtaking expanses fill your soul with deep appreciation to be a human on this earth. In the process, encounter more than 40 wild animal species, more than 100 bird species, and a selection of flora that will fill you with awe.

The game camp consists of three areas, of +/- 3000Ha each, without inside fencing, where we operate on a grazing intensity of 50ha/LSU for conservation purposes.

Our mission is to strive with goodwill and total commitment to do everything in our power to ensure that the visitors to Badshoek enjoy an unforgettable nature experience, so that they can return to their normal lives psychologically refreshed.

Butchery with cooling facilities

The handling, cleaning and hanging of the carcass up to “jacket on “stage is included in the hunting fee and time.
Making of biltong, bites and droëwors can be arranged. (Ask for details)
Skinning animals under 50 kg’s = R30 and above 50 kg’s =R50.  Cutting up of carcasses (8 pieces) = extra R20 and R30 respectively.
Removal of horns = R30.
Trophy skinning up to head R150.
Trackers available.
Radio’s : Ten Walkie-Talkie radios are available for better communication and safety.

Vehicles : Hunters can use their own vehicles or rent from the farm per day or part there of @ R700 per day(driver included) plus R7 per km for 4X4 bakkies/Jeeps; Most of the roads are suitable for normal 1 ton bakkies or SUV’s. We can collect a shot animal from the veld for only the km rate if so required. The Ideal is 2 hunters per Bakkie. Game per specie or weight as arranged. Penalty of 50% will be charged for females shot that are not on the menu.

The services of a Professional guide can be arranged at R1500/day or part thereof.

Hunting, Concession and Availability fee per day or part there of:
Monday to Friday: R400 per hunter per day with minimum of R600/day
Saturday till 12H00 = R300/hunter with minimum of R500 and from 13h00 to 16h45 = R500/hunter minimum 2 hunters  and Sundays = R1000/hunter. Minimum 2 hunters.
Non-hunters R50 per day only if the farms vehicles are used.
Rifles can be hired @ R250/day plus cost of ammo.@ R30/bullet (3006/7×64/7×57/303/234/.22hornet/pt22/12 bore double barrel shotgun)
Light lunch parcel @ R100. Must be booked before the hunt.

General:

Hunting hours will be from 08h15 to 16h45 with a one hour lunch break between 12h00 and 15h00. Overtime will be charged for @ R100/10 minutes or part thereof from 17h00 because all the labourers live in town and the bus leaves at 5pm. Times may be adapted in summer
If hunting party plans to hunt for a full Saturday, we expect to be notified at least 14 days in advance.
You can improve your success rate dramatically by practicing to hit a target of 25cmx25cm at 200m without aiming for more than 5 seconds. It is advisable for first time visitors to avail themselves of the relatively difficult hunting conditions before they book.
We only have cell phone reception on parts of the farm and MTN and Wireless internet in Trophy room
A good pair of binoculars will make your experience much more enjoyable and save you a lot of trouble and money
Why not combine your outing with a game of golf on the local beautiful 9 whole grass golf course. We have clubs to hire.

Accommodation:

3 Single beds, table and chairs, open hearth braai, gas fridge, bar counter with stools, dartboard, various games, radio/tape/CD player, wash-up and utensils (15 plates, 15 mugs, 15 glasses, 15 piece cutlery set, 15 porridge bowls, kettle, various pots, pans and dishes). Bedding provided. Towels not provided.. Only Solar powered lights so bring more if needed. Vehicles must have a reasonable clearance to get there or you need to hire from farm.

1 X chalet:  2 Double bunks (single) and fire-place.
1 X chalet:  Double bed.
1 X chalet:  2xDouble bunks (single).
1 X bathroom with bath, shower, basin, flush toilet, cold and hot water (donkey). Towels not provided.
Braai area with 2 tables, 15 chairs, grid iron, coal shovel and braai wood.

R300 per person per day with a minimum of R2100 per day.

Kudu: R3000.00 for females and R4000.00 for males outside the game camp. Inside the camp (adult bulls over 3 years) R6000.00
Eland: R40 per kg for bulls (carcass weight only). Breeding bull not included.
Fellow Deer: R1500.00 if seen outside. They move around like Kudu.
Blue Wildebeest cows are limited to one cow per booking.
