You are invited to a hunt based in the heart of the Eastern Cape of South Africa, with it’s majestic mountains, open plains and rolling fields, warm African hospitality and beautiful landscapes. We offer a large variety of species that number more than thirty. You can tailor a package that will suit your requirements exactly.

Hoeksfontein Safaris’ base camp is situated in the Semi-Karoo adjacent to the coastal strip of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The ranch is 250Km North of Port Elizabeth and is 7000 acres in size. The total area of hunting concessions is 50 000 acres. The closest town to the ranch is Pearston, with Graaff Reinett 100km to the northwest, where there is a shopping mall for the ladies if they wish to shop while in SA. 110km to the northeast, by road, lies Cradock with the Mountain Zebra Park.

The landscape consists of magnificent rock outcrops, mountains, hills and open plains. You can expect mountainous hunting terrain as well as thick valley bushveld. It is important to bring really good footwear.

You and your family, or hunting party, are invited to our home for a hunting safari never to be forgotten.

Accommodation

The lodge consists of 12 rooms. Each room can accommodate between 2-4 people, and has bathrooms on suite. The lodge has 2 kitchens, a swimming pool and a playroom.

Self-catering:

Hunter rate: R700.00 per day
Non hunter rate: R500 per day
Children between 4-12: R250.00 per day
No charge for children under 3 years and person over 75 years.

Own drinks. Cash bar available

Room cleaning service is available on request at R300 per day. Please arrange this in advance.

Hunting

Female animals may only be hunted during 1 May – 15 August.
No head shots allowed. A penalty for headshots will be the price of the animal times two.
Hunting is at own risk, and the farm will not be held liable for any claims or losses. Indemnity form must be signed upon arrival.
Hunters must be in possession of a valid Eastern Cape hunting license. These can be purchased at the lodge at R50 each.
Firearms can be hired at the lodge at R200 per firearm per day.
Ammunition can be purchased at the lodge at R50 per cartridge.

Farm is open for hunting all year round. Female animals may only be hunted between 1 May and 15 August.
