Sand Spoor Safaris is a privately owned game and hunting farm just two and a half hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, 40 km north of Thabazimbi, Limpopo.
The name Sand Spoor was selected as it represents among a number of things, two noticeable features that stand out more prominently:
Sand – Sandy roads akin to the Kalahari, yet in the Bush Veldt.
Spoor – Reflections of the movement of many a wild and tame game roaming the farm.
Sand Spoor is situated in the heart of the Limpopo bush veldt with fantastic views of the majestic Kransberg mountain range lying in the Marekele National Park, from where at times the sounds of roaring lions maybe heard early in the morning.
Cheetahs, Hyena, Leopard and Caracal have been spotted on the farm and a large variety of bird species make waking up to the African dawn a truly memorable experience. The farm also has a large variety of indigenous trees.

General Rules and Conditions
Visitors entering the property of Sand Spoor Safaris do so at their own risk, the owners take no
responsibility for any damages, loss, injuries or death of any nature.
The person booking the hunt is fully responsible for his group.
Booking Fee, minimum 3 hunters / 3 days per hunt. or as arranged.
Full payment of daily rates to confirm hunt: Eg: (3 days x minimum 3 hunters) – (Non-refundable)
All hunters and guests will sign an indemnity form upon arrival prior to any booking into your
accommodation and the carrying out of any hunting activities.
No alcohol policy: Alcohol will not be permitted in the hunting field, or given to trackers.
All hunting weapons will be securely locked up after the days hunt in the safe provided.
Miss shots policy: a. All shot’s taken: 50% of the price per buck quoted.
b. Head shots: 100% of the price per buck quoted.
All wounded game: (Blood, bone, horn, hair, fluid etc.) – maximum 1hour free tracking, there after
R200/ hour tracking fee (in the event that evidence is found of a hit/ wound), limited to a total
3/hour track and search, were upon it will be called off and the hunter becomes liable to 100%
payment of the value per buck hunted.
Damages to the owner’s property: full payment will be made as recompense thereof.
Payment policy: Cash/ Eft only- full payment of all costs prior to departure and the removal of any
game hunted.
Wood policy: (Braai wood limited/ 20kg per day), camp fire wood free, supplied daily. Additional
braai wood R20/ bag/ 7kg. No wood may be picked up on the farm by visitors.
No driving around the property in private vehicles and or hunting will be permitted without the
presence of an appointed person or as arranged by Sand Spoor Safaris permission.
No pets will be allowed.
To provide you with the best possible facilities and environment, all accommodation and buildings
will be smoke free areas and no littering will be tolerated at all.
Vehicle/ transport policy: Transport of game hunted and dropping/ collecting hunters only, is
included in daily rate. However – Hunting from the vehicle will be at an additional R 1500/ Day – for
non- walk and stalk requests.
Hunting from the vehicle – is only allowed exceptional cases only – (see Daily Hire fee- 15.)
Rifle/ Bow hunting members (SAJWV, CHASA, PHASA, SAGA, professional hunting organizations
groups of 3 Hunters – less 5% discount on game hunted only, accommodation and other
requirements stay as quoted.
All non- affiliated members pay in full as per rates quoted/ game, accommodation and all fees.
No one day hunts allowed – Minimum requirements: 3 day/ 3 hunter groups.
The owner reserves the right to allow or disallow persons (not competent to hunt), all hunters and
owners of firearms must be in possession of a valid firearm license.
Tipping Fee’s: Please do not hesitate to tip trackers/ slaughtering personal, it enhances their
performance to service delivery. Tips should be given to them personally at the end of the hunt.
