Longogo Legacy is a boutique game farm just off the R66 to Nongoma and a 20 min drive from Pongola. We offer affordable beautiful game farm lodging, hunting and are in the company of other game reserves in the area.
The game farm is named after Longogo Ndlangamandla who was originally from Pongola and got curious about the Swazi Monarchy and walked with a friend Khumalo to the Ludzidzini royal residence seeking to learn about the institution. Longogo traveled with Khumalo and were known as brothers which was not necessarily true but the assumption that they were brothers has led to the Ndlangamandla clan not marrying people from the Khumalo clan to this day in eSwatini. They walked a distance of approximately 200kms. On arrival in eSwatini, they learnt the rules of being part of the royal regiment and presumably after some years of being there, the reigning king decided that there should be a chiefdom
in what is now known as Nsingizini area in eSwatini. The regiment traveled as commanded to set up the chiefdom and as the initial population in the area, they divided amongst themselves vast lands for farming purposes, got married and started new lives there. They lived a life of moving from one area to another depending on needs, food and water source being primary for both them and their animals but kept all previously occupied lands as theirs even when no longer living on them. Longogo’s position in the new chiefdom rose from mere foreign member of the regiment to a trusted advisor with lands to complement such a status. Longogo Legacy embodies this story and seeks to cater for an adventurous individual that is curious and determined to learn about all that we offer in the farm.
The story of Longogo also tells a story of how the spirit of adventure can transform a person from a member of a regiment to something approximating a kingly status. This is similar to a Pawn in that, apart from being crucial and the main implementer of strategies in a chess board, it can also transform into a powerful piece even as its origins are humble and fraught with risk.
The brothers who own and run Longogo Legacy are the fifth generation descendants of Longogo Ndlangamandla.
Accommodation
We offer affordable self-catering (inhouse catering offered on request) accommodation:
1. Two houses that accommodate 4 people each, and
2. Five chalets that accommodate 2 people each
All units have spectacular views. We are able to accommodate 16 people at a given time. Our animals roam the whole farm and are frequent visitors around the accommodation units offering rare picture opportunities.
Non-hunting children aged 2-18 pay half price.
Children under 2 stay free.

Ecosystem
The farm is a sanctuary for wildlife and animals in general. We are home to Wildebeest, Impala, Nyala, Redbuck, Zebra, Warthog, Ostrich, Giraffe, Monkeys and a lot more other animals. Our Dam sources its water from Mkuze river and is stocked with Bass and various other fishes. We also have an educational program on bee farming to increase
awareness on the importance of bees to the plant ecosystem. We also have an exciting bird population for the passionate bird watcher.
Hunting
The game farm is average size and this ensures that our hunters do not spend too much time trying to find the animals as compared to other bigger farms. Our farm is predator free (stress free) and this ensures the quality of the meat that is obtained in terms of tenderness and taste.
Daily hunters’ fee of R500 per group includes a tracker, skinning and cold room storage.
