CHEETAH SAFARIS recently invested in 10 000 acres of privately owned hunting land. This unspoiled wilderness is tucked away from the eyes of civilization. This new area has been the hunting grounds of famous explorers and indigenous tribes for centuries. CHEETAH SAFARIS has long been home to discerning bow and rifle hunters. Kudu’s averaging 54.5” year after year is only one of our few proud achievements.
The Matlabas River that pulses live through this prime hunting land and brings with it an abundance of fish and wildlife.
We are situated between Thabazimbi and Ellisras (Lephalale), in the malaria free Bushveld, 3 hours from Pretoria. The 4 000 hectares, is home to an abundance of bird life and game like Buffalo, Sable, Red Hartebeest, Giraffe, Kudu, Nyala, Zebra and much more. The warm Africa tradition awaits you upon your arrival in the bushveld.
Cheetah Safari Lodge is situated in the savannah biome with a variety of grasslands and trees (better known as the bushveld), rich in natural beauty and wildlife giving the lodge a character and ambiance all of its own. The diversity of wildlife around the lodge waterhole defines the benchmark for sumptuous bushveld living with the luxury of contemporary infrastructure and modern day facilities.
At Cheetah Safaris, we ONLY hunt on foot. Hunters are also required to hunt with silencers. No hunting is allowed without. Rifles with silencers are available for hire at the farm.
There is a fully equipped communal kitchen, living room with DSTV extending to the open-air boma and sparkling pool. Catering for up to 22 guests at a time, it is perfect for group safaris, corporate getaways and small conferences, ensuring total privacy and exclusive use of all the lodge facilities.
The lodge consist of 6 en-suite air-conditioned rooms each with a coffee station and bar fridge, 5 x rooms = 4 sleeper, 1 x room = two sleeper. Communal kitchen fully equipped with cookware, cutlery, utensils, fridge, freezer, 2 x oven/stove, microwave and ice machine.

Normal check-in time is 08h00 – 14:00. Checkout is 12h00. Times may be altered by prior arrangement. All activities (swimming/walking/hunting/fishing/game drives) are done at own risk.
A 50% deposit is required when making reservations, non-refundable with cancellation 2 weeks prior to booking. For weekends we have a minimum booking requirement of 4 paying clients for 3 nights and during the week (business stay over) a minimum of 2 paying clients.
