Wilton Valley was bought by the late Hennie de Jager in 1970 and the farm Krokodilvlei, on the opposite side of the Matlabas River, in 1980, the children have, in line with their father’s legacy, values and ethics, been managing the business since 2012. With 22 species of animals on the ranch, Wilton Valley can be classified as a one-stop game ranch where most of South Africa’s plains game can be hunted.

We are situated in the Limpopo Province, 300 km (190 Miles) North of Pretoria next to the Botswana border. This area is often described as the most beautiful, exciting and challenging hunting area in the country. Depending on the skills of the hunter, an average of one quality trophy per hunter can be bagged during the course of one hunting day.

The standards of accommodation, food, trophies and services at Wilton Valley are a great source of pride and the policy of management and staff is to satisfy our customers and to make them feel at home.

ACCOMMODATION

Our accommodation fits perfectly into the bush surroundings with 6 thatched Chalets and 4 Rondavels, sleeping up to 33 people. The main building has a trophy room, well equipped kitchen, bar, outdoor dining area seating 16 people and barbeque place/lapa. The impressive leadwood, camelthorn and ana trees creates a wonderful atmosphere, and visitors to Wilton Valley can enjoy the tranquility of nature. The Lodge is surrounded by grass lawns and it is often seen that the wild animals enter the lodge area to graze on the lawns. This is possible because the animals are not to be disturbed nearby the water place and the lodge and they gradually get accustomed to the safe haven in the vicinity of the lodge and the water place.

Visitors often use the swimming pool during the summer time as well as during the sunny days in autumn- and springtime. Rest assured that Wilton Valley judges itself by first world standards when it comes to efficiency and care. Experience genuine South African hospitality.
